The new year is here—a blank canvas, a fresh chapter waiting for you to write your story. What will this year mean for you? What dreams will you bring to life?

In September 2022, my own story took an unexpected turn. Sitting across from my doctor, I heard words that shook me to my core: “You’ll never be the same again, your health will decline and you will struggle” Wait WHAT??? I just had an amazing summer, I am only 52 years old and I have decades ahead of me!

It felt like time stopped. Shock, disbelief, and anger rushed through me all at once. How dare YOU tell me what my future will look like? That moment ignited a fire within me—a determination so fierce it refused to accept anyone else’s narrative for my life. I get to write my story.

I made a decision with conviction: I will feel amazing again one day. I didn’t know exactly how or when, but I was clear on one thing—I would not let someone else’s limited perspective define me. I started to visualize my future self: strong, vibrant, and thriving.

It wasn’t just about visualizing my future self; I had to become her. That meant committing to my emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual fitness—not just when it was convenient, but every single day. There were dark days when the fear creeped in and I would just lean into the fear and say, “ Not today fear not today”

And now, standing here today, I can say with a deep sense of gratitude: I feel better than I ever have. That journey taught me something powerful: our greatest wins are inspired by our darkest moments.

Why Intention Is the Foundation of Change

When you set an intention, you’re not just setting a goal—you’re giving yourself permission to align with your deepest desires. It’s about asking, “What do I really want?” and believing you’re capable of achieving it.

Big wins don’t happen overnight. They’re the product of small, consistent steps fueled by a clear vision and an unwavering commitment to becoming the person you know you’re meant to be.

3 Steps to Set Your Bold Intentions

  1. Be Honest: What’s the Story You’re Telling Yourself?
Take a moment to reflect. Are you telling yourself that your dreams are “too big,” or that you’re “not ready”? Recognize the stories holding you back and rewrite them. Choose beliefs that empower you, like, “I’m capable,” or “I’m ready to grow.”

  2. Visualize Your Future Self
Close your eyes and picture the version of you living your best life. What does it feel like to be them? How do they think, act, and show up? Write this down as if it’s already happening—it becomes a roadmap for who you’re becoming.

  3. Commit to Daily, Aligned Action
Transformation isn’t about massive leaps; it’s about showing up daily. Ask yourself, “What’s one small step I can take today that aligns with my intention?” Then take it, and celebrate every tiny win along the way.

What’s Your Intention for 2025?

As I reflect on my journey, I can’t help but feel excited for what’s ahead. The best part? I know now that I’m capable of so much more than I ever thought possible.

So, what about you? What’s your big, bold intention for 2025? What’s the story you’re ready to write?

I’d love to hear it. Share it with me. Let’s hold each other accountable to dream bigger, aim higher, and create a year that changes everything.

We’ve got this. Let’s make it extraordinary. 🌟
